Efficacy and scientific research

Derma GeL® is a biological micro-active gel for intensive and rapid skin care, ensuring a uniform barrier of protection against bacterial attacks and foreign contaminants. Moreover, this uniform barrier of protection prevents humidity loss, vital to maintain cell viability. Therefore, bandaging is not required.

Due to its specific isotonic saline base - pH balanced - this non-greasy gel is rapidly absorbed, favouring an optimal effect. Tested according to OECD guideline nr. 471, on strains originating from the Laboratory of Prof. B. AMES, California University, USA, Derma GeL® is non-mutagenic. Moreover, it makes sure the hair grows back to its original colour.

To evaluate its efficacy, Derma GeL® has undergone extensive scientific research and numerous stringent comparative testing - according to the highest international Standards - performed on a 3-dimensional reconstructed skin model to assess cell viability and the quantification of TNFa , IL-1a , IL-10, IL-8, IL-12 and PGE2.

Handy packaging

Unlike traditional jars and containers in which you have to dip your fingers and thus contaminate the product with each use, the original device of the Derma GeL® dispenser pump prevents air and impurities from entering the tube. The result is an optimal product stability and activity. This practical dispenser moreover enables to measure out a dose of gel, according to a specific need.

Did you know that...

Recent scientific research(*) established that greasy creams and ointments are more slowly and only partially absorbed, leaving greasy residues on the surface. These residues oxidise with the body temperature, promoting irritation of epithelial (skin) cells and infections, decreasing cell viability and interfering with the healing process.

The use of an aggressive disinfectant is however not recommended, since it might irritate, alter or damage the quality of the available cells. Not even mild solutions of disinfectants or antiseptics are recommended for cleansing a wound, as they will cause irritation and thus delay, alter or stop the healing process.

The local application of antibiotic preparations, sprays and powders is also to be avoided, since by destruction of the normal bacterial flora, infection can arise.
